Real spaces we've brought to life over the years. Each one's got its own story, challenges we tackled, and solutions that actually worked.
We've been lucky enough to work on some pretty interesting stuff - from turning cramped city condos into spaces people actually want to live in, to reimagining commercial buildings that'd been stuck in the '80s. Here's a look at what we've been up to.
Toronto, ON - 2023
This one was a complete gut job. The clients wanted to keep the heritage facade but modernize everything behind it. Took us about 18 months but we managed to add two floors, open up the main living area, and sneak in a basement wine cellar that doesn't feel like a dungeon.
Toronto, ON - 2022
Former textile warehouse that'd been sitting empty for years. We converted it into flexible office space for creative agencies. Kept the exposed brick, added tons of natural light, and created these modular work zones that companies can configure however they need.
Toronto, ON - 2023
Eight-unit development that actually fits the neighborhood. We fought hard to keep it at three stories when everyone wanted to push higher. Each unit's got its own outdoor space and we managed to squeeze in visitor parking without it looking like a strip mall.
Toronto, ON - 2022
Boutique clothing store that needed to feel spacious despite being only 800 sq ft. Used a lot of mirrors (not in a tacky way), floating displays, and a neutral palette so the merchandise pops. The back storage area's actually functional too, which the owner really appreciates.
Muskoka, ON - 2021
Year-round cottage that doesn't scream "cottage." The clients wanted modern comfort but also wanted it to feel connected to the landscape. Lots of glass facing the water, natural wood throughout, and a heating system that can handle -30C winters without breaking the bank.
Toronto, ON - 2023
Fine dining spot in a historic building. Had to work with existing stone walls and low ceilings. Created an intimate vibe with strategic lighting and custom millwork that hides all the modern kitchen ventilation.
Toronto, ON - 2022
Six-doctor practice that needed to feel calm, not clinical. Natural materials, plenty of daylight, and a layout that actually makes sense for patient flow. Waiting room doesn't feel like you're waiting for bad news.
Toronto, ON - 2021
Transformed an abandoned lot into neighborhood green space. Community wanted something low-maintenance that'd handle Toronto winters. Native plants, permeable surfaces, and seating that encourages people to actually hang out.
Toronto, ON - 2021
Mid-rise building with 48 units. Developer wanted maximum density, we pushed for livability. Got them to agree to bigger balconies, better sound insulation between units, and common areas people might actually use. It's not groundbreaking but it's honest housing.
Whether it's a full build or just figuring out if your idea's even possible, let's talk about it.
